How to fix Partner not found when analyzing a quotation request

Resolve the Partner not found error shown when a quotation-request sender is not linked to a Freightools customer, then analyze the same email again.

Updated 9/23/2026

Freightools uses the sender email address to associate an analyzed quotation request with a customer. If no customer or customer contact matches that sender address, the quote analysis displays Partner not found.

The error

After Analyze Quote Request, the recorded example opens Instant Quote but shows Partner not found because no customer matches the sender email address. The source email remains visible with Open email.

Instant Quote shows Partner not found and explains that no customer matches the sender address.

Add the sender to the correct customer

  1. Open the customer that should own the sender email address.
  2. Open the customer's Contacts tab.
  3. Click New Partners Contacts.
  4. In Create Partner Contact, keep Active enabled when appropriate.
  5. Enter First Name, Last Name and the sender address in Email. Add the other contact fields when needed.
  6. Click Save Contact.

Create Partner Contact is opened from the customer Contacts tab and includes First Name, Last Name, Email, Role, telephone fields and Save Contact.

The recorded example enters the quotation sender email into the Email field before saving the customer contact.

Analyze the request again

  1. Return to the personal Mailbox.
  2. Reopen the same quotation-request email.
  3. Click Analyze Quote Request again.
  4. In the recorded retry, the sender now matches the customer and the extracted shipment data is loaded into Instant Quote.

After the sender is added as a customer contact, the request is successfully matched to customer A and the Instant Quote search is populated.
