Overview
The CFS Consolidation New module is found under Business Process → Warehouse Management → CFS Consolidation New in FreighTools. It is the updated version of the CFS Consolidation view and allows warehouse staff to monitor, manage, and process all consolidated cargo stocks in one central grid. Each row in the grid represents a Customer Shipment (CS) line linked to a Shipping Order (SO) and, when applicable, a Master Consolidation Code (CSM).
Accessing the Module
- Log in to your FreighTools account.
- Click Business Process in the top navigation bar.
- Under the Warehouse Management section, click CFS Consolidation New. The module opens on a full-page grid showing all active stock goods records.
Understanding the Grid
Each record in the grid is grouped by Shipping Order (SO). The group header row shows:
- The SO Code and its associated CSM (Master Code), if assigned.
- The number of CS lines within that SO in parentheses, e.g., (2 CSs). The group can be collapsed or expanded using the –/+ toggle on the left side of the header row. Each individual CS line below the header shows the following columns: | Column | Description | |---|---| | Good ID | Unique internal ID for the stock goods record. | | SO Code | The Shipping Order reference number. | | CS Code | The Customer Shipment code linked to the SO. | | Master Code | The CSM consolidation master code, if the CS is part of a master consolidation. | | Agent | The freight forwarding agent handling the shipment. | | Consignee | The receiving party for the goods. | | Shipper | The exporting party (supplier/shipper). | | Freight Type | The type of cargo unit, e.g., Pallet. | | | | L x W x H | Physical dimensions of the cargo unit in centimeters. | | Original Quantity | Number of units originally registered. | | Original Capacity | The declared weight (kg) and volume (m³) at registration. | | Supplier | The transport supplier or trucking company handling the delivery. | | Incoming Quantity | Number of units received into the warehouse. | | Incoming Capacity | Actual weight and volume received. | | Stock Quantity | Current quantity remaining in stock. | | Stock Capacity | Current weight and volume in stock. | | Files | Opens the Stock Files panel for that record (uploads, printouts, and mails). | | Comment | Opens a comment field to add or view internal notes. | | Movements | Opens the Stock Movements panel (Inbound/Outbound transactions). | | Container Number | The container associated with the shipment, if applicable. | | Seal Number | The seal number on the container. | | Expected Arrival | The expected date for the cargo to arrive at the CFS warehouse. |
Filtering and Searching
At the top of the page, a set of filters allows you to narrow down the records displayed:
- Search bar — Type any keyword (SO code, CS code, consignee name, etc.) to instantly filter the grid.
- Refresh button — Refreshes the grid with the latest data.
- Column Picker — Allows you to show or hide specific columns. Drag columns between the Visible and Hidden lists to customize your view, then click OK to apply.
- Direction — Filter by the direction of the shipment (e.g., Import/Export).
- Agent — Filter by the freight agent.
- Consignee — Filter by the receiving party.
- Shipper — Filter by the exporting party.
- Physical Address — Filter by the warehouse physical address.
- Expected Arrival — Set a date range to show only goods expected to arrive within that period.
- In Stock — Filter records by their current stock status (e.g., In Stock / Not In Stock). To clear a filter, click the × button next to the filter field. Press Enter or click away to apply any changes.
Editing a Stock Goods Record
Each SO group header has a pencil (✏) icon. Clicking it opens the Edit Stocks Goods dialog, which allows you to update key information for all CS lines within that Shipping Order:
- Shipping Order — Displays the SO reference (read-only identifier).
- Container Number — Enter or update the container number for the cargo.
- Seal Number — Enter or update the seal number applied to the container. The dialog also contains an + ADD OUTBOUND ALL button, which adds an outbound movement for all CS lines in that SO at once — useful when all goods in a consolidation are being released together. Click SAVE CHANGES to apply your edits.
Stock Movements
Clicking the Movements icon (↔) on any CS line opens the Stock Movements panel. This panel records all physical movements of the goods into and out of the CFS warehouse.
Inbound
The Inbound section records cargo arriving at the warehouse. Each inbound movement line shows:
- Direction — Marked as IN.
- Supplier — The transport company delivering the goods.
- Total Documents — Number of supporting documents.
- Documents Date — Date of accompanying documents.
- Movement Time — The date and time the movement was recorded.
- Declared Quantity — Quantity as declared on documents.
- Declared Total Weight (kg) — Weight as declared.
- Declared Total Volume (m³) — Volume as declared.
- Actual Quantity — Quantity physically verified on arrival.
- Actual Total Weight (kg) — Weight physically measured.
- Actual Total Volume (m³) — Volume physically measured.
- Dimensions — Physical dimensions and unit breakdown (e.g., QTY:2 – 100x120x207).
- Comment — Internal note for the movement. To add a new inbound entry, click + ADD INBOUND at the bottom of the panel.
Outbound
The Outbound section records cargo leaving the CFS warehouse. It has the same fields as Inbound, with the Direction marked as OUT. To add a new outbound entry, click + ADD OUTBOUND. Once all movements have been entered, click SAVE to record them.
Note: The Stock Quantity and Stock Capacity columns in the grid are automatically updated based on the difference between Inbound and Outbound movements.
Stock Files
Clicking the Files icon (cloud/upload icon) on any CS line opens the Stock Files panel. This panel is divided into three sections:
Printouts
Generate and manage documents associated with the cargo:
- Select a printout template from the SELECT dropdown.
- Click + ADD NEW PRINTOUT to generate the document.
- Once generated, each printout appears as a row with options to View (preview), Create PDF, or Delete.
Mails
Send and track email communications related to the stock goods record:
- + NEW MAIL — Compose and send a new email.
- ↩ REPLY — Reply to the most recent received email.
- ≡ MAILS LOG — View the complete history of sent and received emails for this record.
Uploaded Files
View and manage files attached to the stock record:
- Each file shows its Name, Size, and Upload date.
- Click the download icon to download an individual file.
- Use SPLIT to split the PDF, DOWNLOAD to download selected files, and BROWSE to upload new files from your computer.
Comments
Clicking the Comment icon (speech bubble) on any CS line opens a free-text Comment dialog. Use this to add internal notes or observations about the stock goods — for example, damage observations, special handling instructions, or follow-up reminders.
Pagination and Record Display
At the bottom of the grid:
- Use the records-per-page selector (50 / 100 / 500 / 2500) to control how many records are shown at once.
- Use the Page field to jump directly to a specific page.
- Use the < > arrows to navigate between pages.
- The record counter (e.g., 1–100 of 21270) shows how many records match the current filters.
Tips and Best Practices
- Always verify the Actual Quantity and Actual Capacity fields in Inbound Movements match the physical receipt before saving — discrepancies directly affect Stock Quantity.
- Use the Expected Arrival date filter when preparing for incoming cargo, to focus only on goods due to arrive within a specific period.
- Use the In Stock filter set to "Yes" to view only goods currently held at the CFS and awaiting release.
- The + ADD OUTBOUND ALL button in the Edit dialog is a time-saver when a full SO consolidation is being released — it creates outbound movement entries for every CS line under that SO at once.
- Use the Comment field to log any exceptions, discrepancies, or special instructions found during handling, to keep a clear audit trail.
- Keep Container Number and Seal Number updated in the Edit dialog as soon as container details are confirmed — these fields are visible to all users on the grid.
